I think this app is useful because at first I didn't know how to count the storm now I do! People who think it is really bad than think about if u didn't know how to count and people said bad things how would u feel so always think positive and not negitive For the little kids that see this message don't be afraid of thunder and lightning also try ur hardest to be a good kid and thank ur parents for what they had to go through from baby to adult never bullie it is no good because than u will end up in jail which won't be good so try not to do bad things now and when u are an adult
The other day I heard my weather-woman say: "if you can hear thunder you can be struck by lightening." I saw this app and thought what a good idea and also something fun to do when you are heading for cover. Play guess the distance with you friends while you wait out the storm. A small critique - it could look a little better :) and maybe track each measurement and let you see a chart of the distances of the storm. Great app though, I can't wait for the next storm.
I like the concept of this app. If I could make one suggestion..I wouldn't advise people to take cover for a storm that's 20 miles away. Perhaps you should suggest they walk their dog! That would keep me informed as well as entertained. That's a double whammy if you ask me!! Great work! Keep it up!
Love this app. Just what the Doctor Ordered. It comes in very handy when you are suddenly in the need of measuring how far away you are from a Thunderstorm or Lightening. This is the kind of app you would want to download Now as opposed to later when you Suddenly need it, but can't find it.
It is not often that I come across something like this. It is an app that I never knew I wanted until I tried it out! Very cool to figure out how far away a storm is just by seeing a lightning strike and how long before hearing the thunder. Will be using during more storms just for fun!
It's ok if you don't know how/don't want to do the math... Haha I know how to see where the storm is, I just think this is a better way. When you see lighting, tap it... When you hear thinner tap it... Then it will tell you how far the storm is. I think this app is okay to have...
This is a very neat app I have used often in the summer time here in Louisiana. I made a program very similar to this 20 years ago using Basic, it had about 12-15 lines calculating time between the lightening and thunder then giving an audible warning.
This app couldn't have came along at a better time. We had storms on the east coast all day today!! I was able to figure how how much time I had to get things done outside. You saved me $1 on a poncho!! You rock!!!!
Very fun! Also good to help teach the kids about weather and to help overcome natural childhood fears of thunder & lightening. It helps channel that fear into scientific curiousity.
This app has come in handy lately. My three year old son is terrified during thunderstorms and this keeps him entertained and actually makes thunderstorms fun!
