1:Very clean app

I too tried this app because the other one I used bombed after upgrading. I had low expectations, but have found that this app is far superior to the others that i've tried. I especially like the facts that a) no net connection is required and b) the tide graph's rubber-band effect (which snaps you back to current time) is absolutely world-class. The author should get an award just for the rubber-band alone. The software technique is simple enough, but the insight to use it is shear brilliance. Suggestion: provide a way to go next/prev day when in landscape/chart mode. I would like to see current info brought back, but this app is solid as it is. Well done.

2:Simple & free

It took me a minute to figure out the swipe pages; I expected it to work like the weather app with each new swipe page reflecting a different location; but typing that out now, I realize that would be useless. Then it took another minute to figure out how to view the tide chart. That's the real reason I wanted this app. Both super low & super high tides wash everything out. There's space somewhere to add a button or, better, a tab bar. Currents could go in there as well without the possible confusion. As for locations, it's got California covered. Location services came us with dozens of beaches nearby.

3:Good for what it does

I noticed that someone else in Southeast Alaska says Shralp doesn't have any stations in Southeast. There are two just for Juneau. And the reviewer who mentions that there are no graphs. . . You have to turn your phone/iPad on its side. My only complaint is that I can only see five days of future tides. I use the app nearly every day, but I also like to plan a week or two ahead to know when it's safest to cross Gastineau Channel or leave the harbor on an outgoing tide. Still, it's accurate and quick.

4:Nice Look if only had tide selections

Very limited tide locations for Florida East Coast. Doesn't even have the most major ports on Florida East Coast. More inland tides than actual inlet tides. Very nice format if only had a good selection of tides. I'm going to delete but I guess what do you want for free. I expect more for even a free App. A lot of work was put into this App to make it look nice but useless without the tide locations unless it just happens to have the one you need. Thanks for a try and a free App.

5:Pretty interface

Of the three free tide apps I have downloaded, this one has the nicest presentation and includes a handy arrow icon indicating if the tide is rising or dropping, plus has the graph when you turn your device into landscape mode. I wish it had sun and moon data as well as current data. Sadly, none of these three apps has all four features (tide, graph, sun/moon, current). This app has fewer U.S. tide stations than the other two apps, so I removed it from my iPod.

6:free, simple, no fuss

It's free. It's simple to use. It doesn't have complex features, such as looking up tides for dates past or dates >5 days in the future. But it does everything I need. I've used it extensively in the U.S. and in Australia. It has tide information for some countries, and not others. It either has the tide station you need or it doesn't, and it's free to find out - just download it and look.

7:Now it needs currents as well done

As tide apps go this one is top notch!! 5 days outlook is perfect amount of days. I love that it works offline as I have the iPod. Just need to add currents back in with a yearly amount of data for San Francisco. My company gives out tide books but they are just another thing to carry! Thanks for the app! Please add currents please please please I promise it's not too confusing.

8:Not worthwhile

Has insufficient locations, and worse, you have to know the name of the precise locale. One example: Brunswick, Maine, USA (which has a public boat launch) is not listed. The smaller town of Georgetown, Maine, isn't either but "Robinhood, Maine" (a village within Georgetown) is. If you're not from around heeah (as we say in Maine), you won't find this much help.

9:Good app, needs more stations!

This is a superb tide monitoring app. It looks nice, not dissimilar to the Weather app, so it integrates well, and has something I've had trouble finding in a free app before: graphs. What it does not have is all the tide stations I want. Sunset Beach, NC, for example, has no stations. At other locations I use it all the time. I'm also looking forward to currents!

This app has tide data for an incredibly large number of locations, including my local station. I checked data against several other trusted sources, and it was extremely accurate. The interface is simple, yet this displays the most important information. The landscape graphical is very nice. I think they should add a moon phase indicator in the next update.
