Click on the little "i" (short for information) button on the bottom right of the home screen to get to the real juicy weather info. That's where the real meat of this app is. There are a lot of idiots out there who can't figure out something as simple as that, and then they give this app a bad rating because "the app doesn't do anything it's stupid" when in fact they're the idiots for not clicking on the "i" and exploring the app. This app is GREAT. It has hourly forecasts, weekly forecasts, it has a radar map, you can add multiple locations, and so much more. I mean really everything you need out of a weather app is here. Yes, I have also sometimes ran into the "Internet connection error" problem, rarely. Just click the refresh button on the home screen a few times and it'll work itself out. For the price, simplicity and ease of use, this is definitely the best weather app.
It amazes me why the two most popular weather apps are were they are! Those are both buggy and in the instance of one of them, are so ad ridden it borders on merely an app for ads!! This app is upon first appearances very minimalistic, until one hits the info button. Upon doing this, one is treated to all the information one could desire! This is how it should be done! Not like the others with all the glitz and advertising, some full page even!! Just give me the weather and for those of us beyond that typical showiness most want, real usable, in depth info if we like, too! To the app developer... Please keep it up and don't change!! It's good!
This app offers one stop access to all the weather and sea condition information needed to plan sailing trips in the Caribbean. It gives local weather info and forecasts based on METAR, moon phase and sun and moon rise and set, wind and wave height and direction, current, tides, NOAA discussions and tons of other info that is useful for deciding when to sail. I haven't explored all the things I can access. Requires wifi or data access when roaming or AT&T or wifi in Puerto Rico/USVIs. Prior to this app I had to use my PC to go to multiple websites and try to make sense of all the weather info.
This app totally would have been a 5 star at first but after a little bit it wouldnt find my location no matter where I was. It would just say: location search failed even if I had full bars of wifi or whatever. So it was a really cool app but who cars if it is cool if you can't even use it. I even deleted it then reloaded it but I still didn't work. Please fix it so it will be just as awesome as it was.
Good stupid that is. The app is only 1.1MB which means it loads quickly and doesn't get stuck. Other weather apps are nearly 300MB because they have looping videos of rain and snow. I know what these conditions look like, thank you. No need for pretty, fancy junk. I want the temperature and what the day will generally be like. Good stuff. I'm satisfied.
I could really love this app if there were just a few tweaks! I would like it to open up directly to the "info" section. The home page is not pretty, the days should be in a list view, not side by side. It would be nice to be given some options to customize these things. If there were just a few changes this would be a five star app for sure!
The home page for the weather is mo more than what the baked-in iPhone app provides - only this one is cluttered and hard to read. Most egregiously, go to the "Humidity and Stuff" page, navigate to one of the other sub-pages and try finding your way back. Can't! Stop trying to be cute and funny. I'd rather this app work than.
It's a good app. The dual Doppler radar is a fabulous tool. Yes you can adjust the zoom without the preset zooms. Yes you can view an animated Doppler radar. The picture quality is '90s-ish. It has a delayed reaction, but it's not severe. I'd use this app before I'd watch the weather channel.
This app is so bad when every I touch something it freezes and I have to re boot my iPod. I mean I could make a better app if I was blind and both my hands tied behind my back. I don't get how you guys can make such a bad app. They should really take this app off the app store. FAIL!!!!!!!!!!
I travel a lot for business, and drive around a bit, and Weather! is really nice for that. Not having to look up the zip code or location of where I'm at to see where I'm at is super! I can only imagine how nice this must be for someone camping out somewhere for a few days.
