I see the map where show up the warnings but the most interesting thing in the app was the live wire and for those with no access to a TV or Computer would appreciate that but it works only to read other comments you have the option to make on but it does not work I tried a few times and waited almost an hour thinking maybe it take a while to show up but nothing happen so I using another app to get the info I needed.
When you select the "Prepare" button on the far right there is a section called "Fact vs Fiction". At the bottom of that section it discusses how dangerous mobile homes are. Well at the bottom it says "If you live in a mobile home, ensure you have..." But that's it. Some people may need this critical information. Please fix this critical lapse in safety preparation data. Thank you.
I'm in a major storm RIGHT NOW, and this app is useless! I'm trying to find live coverage (no power--tv is off), and they have none! Their "live" section is day-old news about our NBA team, and no live weather. Their live radar is a tiny box pushed off the bottom of the screen by THREE ROWS of ad banners above it! This associates KOCO with "junk" in my mind.
A tornado hit our city (Moore, OK) last week and again this Friday, and both times this app would not even start. Just loaded...we ended up having to evacuate and go off random radio stations that contradicted one another. The safety of my family was at stake, so this app would've came in real handy, yet it never worked. iPhone 5. Uninstalling.
App worked at first but now that it's actually storming outside it crashes every time I try to open it. I wish the doppler screen showed movement, and I wish there were text alerts for bad weather. Guess I'll stick to the News 9 app that's got both those features even though I prefer KOCO.
I prefer your station but you need live video instead of people blogging crap when the weather is bad. The new news app stinks too as I lost the alerts I used to get with the old app. I finally deleted both apps from my phone. Please consider updating both so I can come back!
It not only keeps posting a flag in the App Store to update it when no update is available but followed by demanding I rate the app so I am rating it 1 star til they fix it. I may delete it if it keeps screaming that there is an update available when one isn't.
I hunkered down in my in-ground shelter yesterday (May 20, 2013) and with the app open on my iPad. Tornado center came within 6 miles of us. I thought this was an entertaining app before. Now I know it is a life saving app.
Ok app...would be awesome app if the live stream map actually worked and the post a comment on the live feed worked...not ok to have that and then not have it work when severe weather is happening! Needs to be fixed!
would be cool if there was an alarm option when that you could turn on to let you know if and when there was a specified type( tornado, hail storm, high winds) or other types of sever of weather in your immediate area
